You can always learn from someone no matter your age or level of play as both a coach and player. Coach Tetrick began her volleyball life with the West Middlesex Big Reds in the 80’s. On a super
competitive team winning District titles every year they played. Marsha was accepted to play college ball for
YSU, Kent and Hiram. In the 90’s, she was the assistant coach for Thiel College along side her high school
coach and mentor Lynn Trimble. While in school she attended every camp that she could by the legendary PSU
Coach Russ Rose. He instilled a huge sense of competitive nature in Marsha. She tends to share that spirit
in her coaching. Marsha has also worked with the Department of Justice as an investigator for 25 years before retiring
almost two years ago. She has been the Middle School coach for Hubbard Volleyball for two years and
plans to continue with the program next year. This is her second year with MVP and she can't wait to see
where this year takes her team.
Coach Tetrick's Coaching Philosophy: My coaching philosophy is to cultivate confident athletes. There is a need to instill a sense of self-belief and foster an environment where they feel empowered to perform at their highest ability. A good
player should be able to perform all tasks on the court and specialize in others.
